Hi, The character DOWNWARDS WHITE ARROW (UTF-16 21E9) does not show up as expected, it appears as⇩, while UPWARDS WHITE ARROW (UTF-16 21E7) appears correctly as ⇧ ; with other browsers it is not the case. Any idea to correct that ? I'm running Firefox 78.3.1 on macOS 10.11.6 . Regards, Jean

That looks like a font issue.

Is that the only arrow that is wrong ?

What font is used in both cases ?

You can right-click and select "Inspect Element" to open the builtin Inspector with this element selected.

You can check in the Rules tab in the right panel in the Inspector what font-family is used for selected text. You can check in the Font tab in the right panel in the Inspector what font is actually used because Firefox might be using a different font than specified by the website.

Hi, Thank you for your answer.

I only checked arrow characters in https...Character_reference/2000-2FFF and also both LEFTWARDS and RIGHTWARDS WHITE ARROWs (21E6 and 21E8) do not show correctly (as compared with what I'm getting e.g. with Brave and Safari).

For what concerns the font, I tried to use for my HTML test page Calibri, Arial, Courrier and Times, with the same result ; for the Character_reference page it is Hiragino Kaku Gothic ProN that is used.
