Firefox update leaves black boxes on desktop icons. Must reboot to fix

I used a Tweak program to remove the arrows from my shortcut icons. When Firefox updates, it overrides the tweak and leaves big black boxes on each desktop icon. I then must reboot in order to restore tweak.

This is not uncommon when these types of unsupported tweaks are made.

This has only been happening lately so something if different with the Firefox update and, again, no other program update does this. So the question is with Firefox, not "unsupported tweaks"
