Picture-in-Picture will not pause correctly? Will not pause when popped out in the mode.

When I have a video popped out in Picture-in-picture mode, I cannot pause it. When I click on the pause button, it immediately switches back to play. The only way to pause it is to go back to the original page. I wouldn't mind it if the button wasn't there to offer the pause option, but because it is there and doesn't work for me, I wanted to put it here in case there's a solution.
