I lived through the days of Mozilla will no longer work with the extensions i loved and used. BAM just overnight F me. No one cared I wanted to use them, they were just gone. Now I wake up this morning, reboot my computer and Firefox is acting weird and half the open windows have no bookmarks and no passwords and my recovered Firefox windows do. So I go to save my bookmarks, so i don't loose them. Done. I go to export my passwords, F ME. My ONLY apparent option is to use my Mozilla online Firefox account to allow them to be synced across my devices. I DON'T WANT THAT. Did anyone ask me if sharing my saved passwords with Firefox was a good idea? NOPE. Did anyone care what I thought? NOPE. Did I get a warning, nope. just BAM, you are F'd. Now instead of working on HUGELY pressing matters I am having to deal with this BS! I am REALLY starting to hate Firefox! Not just mad at, or unhappy with, but really F'n HATE it.

I bet some smart guy is gonna tell me i should have read the update notes.... Yep, I got time for that. So Yes you are right I brought this on myself for not reading the update notes.., but Geesus, really? I just don't have time to read every EULA, UPDATE NOTE, BUG FIX REPORT or all the other crap that everyone and their brother who is a lawyer wrote, so I could not have any clue what I am reading anyway. HUGE changes and you can't give a guy a solid warning? Seriously next time just warn a guy that you are about to take away his bookmarks and passwords unless he saves them first. F**K ME!!!!!

I am so mad I can't even type clearly. I do NOT want to share or sync my passwords across any devices. I DO NOT want to give my passwords to the cloud in any way if I can avoid it. I ONLY want my passwords on my ONE desktop computer, and I want a way to save those passwords LOCALLY ONLY, so that I can move them between computers, or OS re installs. How do I accomplish that simple task? Can anyone help me with that? Something LIKE the old days of the "Password Exporter" add on that I loved, and Mozilla took away from me! JW

Never mind I found FF Password Exporter. It is not an add one, which I would like more, BUT it does the job, basically what I wanted.

Now, for my parting thoughts: A big fat middle finger to Mozilla for wasting 2 hours of my time that, I did not have, on this BS! JW

Just perplexed.... Now after three reboots, all of my bookmarks and passwords are in my browser. I wonder if it may be because I signed into my Mozilla account, and now the stuff is synced, even though I didn't want it to be. BUT when I check the menu, Firefox, wants me to sign in, leading me to think my local profile of FF on this desktop PC, does not know my FF account info... So I am just confused, and now I REALLY feel like I wasted my time.... Why did Mozilla tell me I had to sync to save my passwords and bokmarks, if it was not so....??? JW
