I love Firefox and don't want to switch browsers. For multiple phones now, when I open a SoundCloud link it sends me to the app store. Why can't it open to the link I clicked on?

Hi

This does not sound like an issue with Firefox for Android, but may be the way that SoundCloud have desigend their site - to steer people towards their dedicated Android app.

Not true. It's Firefox. I tried the same link on chrome and it went right to SoundCloud. Don't make me switch now I've been using Firefox for 7+ years and don't want to switch but that's a pretty dumb fault on you guys.

I just tried the same thing on chrome and it went to SoundCloud immediately. It's a Firefox problem. I want to keep Firefox but i won't if this doesn't get fixed.

My question isn't posting so I'm gonna keep saying it. It's a Firefox issue not a SoundCloud issue. Chrome sent me right to SoundCloud where your browser does not

Hi

When I open https://m.soundcloud.com/ the page opens, and I can search for and play music in Firefox for Android.

There are two links to the app at the top and bottom of the page, but if I do not tap on those I can still search for and play music from that site without being sent to the Google Play Store to download their app.

Why won't you answer my question? I've been using Firefox for almost 10 years but I'm [expletive] done thanks.

So that we can better understand what you are seeing, it may help if you can attach a screenshot.

If you press the volume "-" key and the power button on your Android device at the same time, a screen shot will be taken and saved to your images. If you then view this thread in desktop view or email the file to a desktop computer and access the forum there, you will be able to attach the image.

There is no option for me to send a picture to you.

It's a very simple concept. I click a SoundCloud link...it brings me to Google play page telling me to download SoundCloud. I tried 2 other apps and both worked fine. It's a Firefox issue

? It is a Firefox issue i can't believe you'd try to say it wasn't. As if this problem hasn't been going on for years.

As far as I am aware and can see, Mozilla would not treat SoundCloud any differently to any other site and unless I select a link for the App, I can play music from the links in that site.

Perhaps if you could paste an example of a SoundCloud page where this is happening?

You may also want to try this in Firefox Preview (also available from the Google Play Store) to see if the same issue is still happening.
