Homescreen bookmarks aren't being displayed

When I shifted over to firefox, I set the home screen to display bookmarks, and my bookmarks weren't showing (only one, not sure why this was the chosen one).

I deleted them all, and then added them sequentially, and they all appeared and all seemed to work.

Now they've all dropped off again.

I don't have 'restore previous setting' selected (as a prior answer suggests would work, described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1253979). I sync my settings on my phone/surface pro/iMac.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Items that you pin to a tile on the Firefox Home page are stored in a pref on the about:config page, so you may have issues with losing prefs.

  • browser.newtabpage.pinned => websites pinned to a tile
  • browser.newtabpage.blocked => websites removed by clicking the X (Dismiss) button in a tile
