How can I find sync configuration files for each folder to move it to the other PC? Is this possible?

Posted

Hello. I have specific retention periods and sync option (offline use/store only headers) for different folders in a big folder structure for one IMAP mailbox. I used to copy/paste msgFilterRules.dat to sync huge filters list within different PCs... that's great! But is there a chance I can find a similar file for all folders settings to safely use within PCs? Can please someone give an advice?

There isn't a single file, as with filters, that can be copied to another PC, but you can replicate the entire setup by copying the Thunderbird folder from one computer to another. Then, remove any accounts beside the one IMAP account with the complex structure.

In this case, it's a lot easier and more reliable than trying to copy parts of the profile.
