Firefox keeps "loosing" my ROBOFORM add on. Why?

Frequently, but not all of the time, when I re-open my Firefox browser, the add on for Roboform is not shown and ais indeed "missing". Why does this keep on happening. I am running Windows 10 with the latest update (and it is a heap of crap)!

As a test, disable your protecion programs. Then install the add-on.

If there is still a problem, right-click the install button and select Save Link As

Is it the add-on icon is gone or was the add-on itself removed?

It’s possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder

Linux: Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Directory. To its right press the button Open Directory.

Delete all extensions* files and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

After, restart Firefox.

On booting up this morning, and opening Firefox Mozilla, the ikon for Roboform was missing and the app does not appear in the list of "add-ons". The further problem is that when I try to remedy this by re-installing Roboform, when I get to the Mozilla page that request a click of approval for Adding the app, I get the message that the "download" is corrupt"! This problem may persist, it may disappear on repeated attempts. It is, to put it nicely, extremely annoying (my feelings actually run somewhat higher than that. This never, ever, happened prior to Windows 10.

I also get the message, "Download failed. Please check your connection." there is nothing wrong with my connection, everything else is working"

This appears to have solved the problem. So it looks like TotalAV is the problem!
