My last session is restoring when I re-open Firefox on android. I don't want this and can't seem to disable it. I see what can be done on the desktop version but no similar solution exists for Android. Every time I open Firefox, my last session re-loads. I have to wait for it to load and then open a new tab. This is BS and enough to make me dump Firefox if it can't be resolved. Embarrassing problem too if you're not the only one using the computer if you get my drift.

Have you checked the 'When Firefox Starts' settings?

You may have corrupt sessionstore [v56] sessionstore.jsonlz4 file(s). Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.

Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Linux: Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Directory. To its right press the button Open Directory.

Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

Don't delete the files if you need to rescue any data from them, just move them out of the profile folder to some location where Firefox doesn't look for them. You can try to read out their contents using this tool: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/scrounger.html

I appreciate the time you took to respond Fred but my issue is with Firefox for Android and on my phone I don't know how to do what you have suggested. Probably my lack of of knowledge. I'm much more comfortable on a PC.
