How to prevent all bookmarks disappearing and not be retrievable?

Twice in the past couple of months I have lost all my bookmarks.

I have tried everything Support suggested. No suggestions have been able to solve this bug.

How can this be permanently prevented (other than daily backup)?

On a desktop using Windows 7.

I recommend a complete uninstall of firefox and deleting the mozilla folder and restart and reinstalling firefox. Make sure to backup the latest bookmark so you can import it back after the install.

Have deleted/removed and re-installed 3 times. Same problem happens again. Bookmarks evaporate
