I see 2 profile folders with different names. Both have ".default" after them. But the top one has long chain of number after it .Like this:

The one listed below it is titled:

Both show they were modified Sept 29 or Sept 30.
Do i save both of these? I had always thought: zmybcm97.default was my default profile . I'm surprised to be seeing two.....

The long numbered one is created when a Refresh is performed. Usually only one of the two will have up-to-date files. Or, you can open the internal page about:profiles by typing or pasting that in the address bar and pressing Enter to load it. One of the profiles will be indicated as the one in use.

I'd like to upgrade from Firefox 56.0.2 to the latest version, which I believe is Firefox 62.
A few questions:
1) Can I do this via Menu: Help-->About Firefox-->Check for Updates?
That does seem to be the most direct and is how I used to do it before the Quantum version arrived

That should work.

2) Will the bookmarks I now have in the Bookmarks Toolbar display as the new Bokmarks Toolbar along that horizontal (and then vertical) toolbar?

Bookmarks should remain unchanged, but you may need to turn the Bookmarks Toolbar back on if it becomes hidden.

As in Firefox 56, you can use one of these methods to show the toolbar list and select the desired bars there:

right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank spot on the tab bar (or the "+" button)

(menu bar) View > Toolbars
On Windows, tap the Alt key to activate the menu bar temporarily.

in Customize mode > Toolbars button (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)

To turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar, Menu Bar, or other bars, click it on the list.

3) I saved login information and passwords for many sites. Will those still show on the Firefox 62 if I update it as described above?

Normally these are upgraded automatically.

If you are nervous, make a backup copy of your profile folder. See: Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles.
