Firefox crashes

Posted

On my Android mobile Firefox keeps crashing multiple times a week. I tried deleting data, a clean install (but I am not sure if all application data was deleted), and I deactivated all plugins. Device is not rooted.

This seems to appear on large pages (e.g. many pictures, Desktop version) more frequently.

These are the crash reports: bp-0a35ae0e-e74e-409d-a620-628340180209 09.02.18 08:17 bp-3159bef7-e7b4-43ae-9eea-835010180206 06.02.18 18:42 bp-ed540d98-6cb2-4c3e-aaa9-8d3910180206 06.02.18 13:18 bp-3da6b15e-97a2-45fb-b9ed-126710180131 31.01.18 13:09 bp-532449f5-cc46-4df3-b21f-70a0b0180127 27.01.18 19:55 bp-1c5d01d8-64a7-4cb6-9f3a-e17040180121 21.01.18 09:42 bp-362c46f0-3f03-45a3-ba1b-f08900180110 10.01.18 17:06 bp-9fc548e4-13b6-4397-adbf-455570180109 09.01.18 19:37 bp-8fe750a7-8de6-4224-9670-60fd10180107 07.01.18 20:07

Hi FredMcD,

thanks for your answer. Note that Firefox is running on Android 5.0 (Samsung Note 3), while your instructions were for Desktop OS.

I did a clean install via App store, all user data (like saved passwords) were deleted. This did not solve the problem, it keeps crashing every few days.

Hi FredMcD,

I don't understand your answer. Are you sure you are talking about Android? The link you sent only mentions Windows, MacOS, Linux.

This crash is strongly correlated with two Samsung devices, SM-N9005 and SM-N900U.
