I got an email today <sigh> that contained the following excerpt: "When you use Firefox, you’re also contributing to a movement to ensure the internet remains a global public resource, open and accessible to all." - Chris Beard CEO, Mozilla. This is a leftist view. One that trusts large centralized government - and telecom laws from 30+ years ago - over the private sector, watch-dog groups with a loud and ready megaphone and individuals. I have been using a mozilla-based browser since the internet took off - back when it was a free, wild and... seriously magical place, when the things we could do with it seemed endless and unknowable. Now we've got a pioneer like Mozilla, poisoned with leftest elitests who.... Listen, I know the arguments sound good. Gotta protect the internet from those big bad greedy corporations by enlisting the help of a benevolent un-biased bigger brother. Only that NEVER ends well. It is NAIVE! Corporations do NOT have a monopoly on corruption and abuse of power. So my real question for you is this: Is there some way to convince Mozilla to focus on great and visionary technologies that enable the individual and STOP promoting views that, at best are not shared by all of it's users, and at worst are indoctrinating, dangerous and wrong!?
