Some forums said the remote ip of requests is in the headers section on the net tab, but I just cant find it. Is this an option that can be turned on. I rely upon this when migrating sites and checking for DNS propagation.

That was the deal. Might want to write that into the instructions. IP only shows on first load, not after cached in FF.

You need to click an item to open a details view panel at the right.

I know that. The IP is usually under the 'Request Method' row. The instructions you sent say to hover over the domain to get the IP , but the title on hover is just the domain name.

Works here if I hover the Domain column. Note that cached items do not have a tooltip. If necessary then reload the page and bypass the cache.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Some code for the Browser Console to extract all tooltiptext.

{let loc="chrome://devtools/content/netmonitor/netmonitor.xul";
let P = [];
let enumerator = Services.wm.getXULWindowEnumerator(null);
while (enumerator.hasMoreElements()) {
let win = enumerator.getNext();
let windowDocShell = win.QueryInterface(Ci.nsIXULWindow).docShell;
let containedDocShells = windowDocShell.getDocShellEnumerator(Ci.nsIDocShellTreeItem.typeChrome,Ci.nsIDocShell.ENUMERATE_FORWARDS);
while (containedDocShells.hasMoreElements()) {
let childDocShell = containedDocShells.getNext();
let childDoc = childDocShell.QueryInterface(Ci.nsIDocShell).contentViewer.DOMDocument;
if (childDoc.location.href == loc){
let el = childDoc.documentElement.querySelectorAll("label.requests-menu-domain[tooltiptext]");
console.log(loc,el.length);
for(let i=0;el[i];i++){P.push(el[i].getAttribute("tooltiptext"));}
}}}
console.log(P.join("\n"));
prompt("tooltiptext",P);
}
