My gmail would not allow me to sign in when cookies are active. Shouldn't it work in reverse?

I have recently changed my pc. Now I'm using win 10. After installing Firefox, I am not able to log in my gmail as long as I have cookies active. It's only on gmail, other mails work allright.

Due to the information from gmail, it should be just the other way around. I'm quite confused and annoyed - I need an account to my job and I would like Firefox to remember my passwords. This way it doesn't work.

Can you help?

Hi, yes cookies would need to be enabled. Try clearing all Gmail entries and start again: Delete ALL references to Gmail, as shown under the heading 'How do I remove a single website from my history?' in this article - Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox, then try the site (not from an old bookmark) again. Note: It may take a few minutes to complete the deletion.

Also see Password Manager - Remember, delete and edit logins and passwords in Firefox
