I have a problem with "Tab has crashed" and want to know if I should report it

Since 48.0 I have noticed a problem. I do have workarounds for myself, but want to know if you're interested because it may be a memory leak you are unaware of.

The reason I know of the bug is because I run firefox on linux and redirect to xwindows on my mac, and that's pretty rare I would think. Even with a new profile, open a web page in the first tab. Open a second tab and close the first tab and I get "Tab has crashed" because the system wants to open a new DISPLAY and it can't because after about 10 minutes xwindows won't let any more connections on that display. There's probably a setting for that, but I prefer it that way for security.

I'm now on 49.0.2 and still the bug is there.

I've never posted here before, what info would you like to have? I just checked and it said FF 49.0.1. I use XQuartz 2.7.9 on the mac, Linux kernel is 4.7.4.

The error I get is the "cannot open display" in the following output:
