Once again, I'm on a new computer with Windows10. I use Firefox as my primary browser and I want to associate jpeg files with this browser. How?
Hi All,
I would like to associate jpeg files with the Firefox Browser but I'm not given this option. I'm only given the options of IE and the other usual ones like Windows Photos. I had this problem on another computer several months ago and by "clicking around" was able to finally do what I wanted but I don't remember how I did it. I can use IE if I need to but I want to use Firefox! I'd asked this same question before and went back to the answer given but It wasn't clear to me.

You may have to hold the Shift key when you right-click a JPG image in the Windows File Explorer to get the open with sub menu that allows to choose the application.

That would not be a good idea. Firefox takes time to load. Windows has viewer programs that would load much faster, and give you options.

Still, I want to open it in the browser to see how it would look on a webpage to others when they open it. I'm on a couple of art websites and the images open with browsers (I assume). When I was able to open them via FF on the last couple of computers, the images opened fairly quickly. Gingerc

Start Firefox. Then start your file browser to the folder the file is in. hold down the mouse on the file, and drop it into Firefox.
It will likely look a bit different as part of a web page.

I do click on "open with" and the sub menu opens but doesn't offer the application (Firefox) that I want. That's when I go off clicking around on my own, lol
