I run a 64-bit computer, but I'm currently running the 32-bit version of Firefox

I didn't realize what I was doing back when I downloaded Firefox at first, and I'm not even sure the 64-bit browser was even available back then. If I downloaded the 64-bit Firefox, would I lose all my data?

The 64-bit (Win64) Firefox Releases have existed since Firefox 42.0

You can download the Win64 version at Systems & Languages link in green box www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ as Windows users get served the 32-bit version when they click on the Free Download on www.mozilla.org

Your Profiles which has your settings like Bookmarks, Passwords and such are not in the Firefox program folder but in a separate place (whether on Windows, Mac OSX or Linux). https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

Note the Win64 Firefox only has the 64-bit Flash Player and Silverlight Plugins white listed to run. If you want to use other Plugins with Firefox on Windows you need the 32-bit Firefox and 32-bit Plugins.

Also of note, the Win64 Firefox only works on 64-bit Windows 7, 8 (8.1), 10 as it will not run on 64-bit WinXP, Vista, servers.

Firefox comes in two or more folders on all computers. They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And one folder in the profile of each user on the computer.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user folders would not be affected.

You can use the 32 bit. It works fine on 64 machines.
