How do I turn off your 'feature' that shuts flash off every time it updates?

I find to irritating to have to start clicking 'Allow' on every single site every time flash has even the most minor updates. I cannot update Flash on a regular basis due to IT policy here, but I prefer Firefox over Opera, our other browser option.

hi, this is an important security feature in firefox. only flash versions with vulnerabilities that get used in the wild won't be executed (and therefore can't be exploited) by any website you may visit anymore.

this may be an inconvenience but a huge gain for the security of the system that you're using and your data on it, as outdated plugins are a known infection vector for malware like cryptolocker viruses (real world example: https://blog.malwarebytes.org/malvert.../booby-trapped-hugo-boss-advert-spreads-cryptowall-ransomware/)

please activate flash manually on sites where you really need it until your IT is providing an updated version: Why do I have to click to activate plugins?

Flash Player versions are not added to blocklist for click to play soft blocking simply because there is a new version out.

The last two Flash 20 version updates for Win/Mac 20.0.0.267 (Dec 28) and 20.0.0.286 (Jan 19) are not on blocklist. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/ https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

Unfortunately the majority of Flash Player updates since December 2014 were for critical security fixes. Many times these were attempts to fix proven in wild exploits.

If the security concerns with Flash Player in the last year were more minor then there likely would be few if any versions added to list. This was the case between Feb/Mar 2013 and Dec 2014 where no versions were on list and people came here wondering why their ancient version was suddenly click to play in Dec 2014.
