Firefox crashed, reinstall didn't help (but IE works?)

Hi, all of a sudden my FF crashed and won't open. I keep getting the crash reporter. I uninstalled and downloaded a new copy - same problem. It won't even create a troubleshooter file.

I have Panda antivirus software (free) and that just stopped working too. FF fix, or is this maybe a virus?

First off, can you please let us know which operating system you are using? The support details attached to you question show that you are running Windows 7. Is that correct?

If there are other issues on your system (especially with your antivirus software), this could be a sign that your system has an infection. Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

I had to call my tech support guy and he found 8 viruses that came in through my wifi. Problem solved. That said, here are the crash reports.
