Hi Mozilla and FF support team,

I am not able to load an unsecured page from my local host (running vagrant VM). All other browsers do it perfectly. FF says: "Server not found". So, I cannot test my locally hosted web-site in FF at all! I've disabled proxy server in FF. No luck!

Any advice?

Regards

SS

P.S. FF used to be a good dev and testing environment. Not anymore. What went wrong with FF?

Server not found means that other software if blocking these domains or that a DNS look up fails.

You can check the connection settings.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network : Connection > Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.

As I explained in my message earlier, FF Proxy is disabled (ie "No Proxy" is selected). It doesn't help. Ironically, Chrome and Opera work fine even with enabled Proxy, while FF doesn't work even with disabled Proxy!
