After receiving reports from other users of that site that they were having problems with that URL, I tried to view it with a fresh install of Firefox 43.0.3 64-bit. My operating system is Windows 7 SP1 64-bit. The first time I tried to load that page, it hung with the message "Transferring data from imagizer.imageshack.us" in the status bar. Firefox was unresponsive (couldn't change tabs, Windows greyed out its window), and after killing it and starting again it hung again loading the same URL, this time with "Waiting for s3.amazonaws.com" in the status bar. Again, Firefox was unresponsive and had to be killed.

The second time I had the console open, looking at the network tab, in the hope I could tell if some page requisite was causing the problem, but no such luck. Any suggestions on how I could tell if something on the page is the problem? Any known issues that could cause this?

Tried one more time, this time it died "Waiting for cdn.taboola.com". Since it's always a different host, I suspect the host mentioned in the status bar at the time of the hang is purely coincidental.

Might be helpful if you gave us some Crash Report ID #'s.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

I see that the Flash plugin is used on this website, so maybe try to block this plugin as a test.

You can check for issues caused by plugins and set plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the "Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" page.

  • plugins are not affected by Firefox Safe Mode

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and hardware acceleration in Firefox and try this:

There are no crash reports that start with bp-, and no crash reports more recent than 12/17/2015, which suggests it has crashed without being able to save a crash report?

I tried disabling the Flash plugin (activate never) but it didn't make a difference. I'll try disabling hardware acceleration next.
