Firefox crashed, it updated when reopened. No session to restore, made copies of previous.js, recovery.js, upgrade.js in profile and tried renaming to sessionstore.js, nothing works. Just why would you do this... Why do I even bother using Firefox anymore, this has been happening on a constant basis. I'm starting to think even IE is better than this.

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s).

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the sessionstore file(s). Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

Still the same, thanks anyway. I guess all I can do now is keep auto updates off and make a backup before updating Firefox again.

Others are also having issues with the upgrade.

These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox

FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backups of files that you choose.

You can check in the the Windows Control Panel if you can find "NVIDIA Network Access Manager" or "NVIDIA ForceWare Network Access Manager" and uninstall this software.
