Cannot stop Yahoo from remembering my password and id
Tried everything thats been suggested, removed all cookies, history etc. nothing seems to work, but no problem when I installed Opera browser, so I can only assume that it's a Firefox problem

Hi, maybe you are able to solve that problem the same way I did: open the page that troubles you. If you are automatically logged in by opening the page, log out first. Then enter the login field and type the first letter of your login name. Firefox suggests the rest of the login. Go down with the arrow-key to mark the suggested entry and press delete-key. Your login information should be gone, then. If not, try the same with the password-field. Make sure, the firefox-safety settings do not remember the passwords at all.
