Why is firefox not downloading and why does it disappear when I close down my computer. Help me download!

I successfully download firefox but it disappeared when I shut down my computer. Now it will begin downloading and stop. I have 6 versions of firefox on my download icon but when I click on them nothing happens. I really need to get rid of Safari and onto more private providers. Please help.

Hi RonRobinson, After you download Firefox, drag and drop the icon into the Applications Folder. Then right click on the icon and drag it to the doc. Right click on the icon in the doc, select options and select "Keep in Doc"

Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.

Open the Firefox disk image file and drag the Firefox program into the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.
