Everytime I go to youtube or perezhilton.com my firefox stalls and shows the spinning wheel. I end up having to close firefox by forcing it to quit by going to finder. I am using a mac. I have tried re-installing firefox and updating adobe. The firefox still crashes even when in safe mode.

For some time now, a lot of Mac’s with Microsoft programs have been crashing. Check with Microsoft / Mac support sites.

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drive drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
