After a Vista reinstall FF36 started to hang at start up. After a couple of days it would take 1 to 2 min. to start, after that it would be ok. However this wait is not acceptable. I think I tried all the listed troubleshooting including a complete uninstall twice. The only thing of FF that I retained was my bookmarks. Also used Revo uninstaller and deleted all traces of FF that I could find in all profiles. None of this solved the problem. I installed FF34.0.5 and it worked fine. Forgot to uncheck automatic update, so after it updated the problem returned and had to reinstall FF 34.0.5

As I previously stated I tried all suggested fixes, they did not work. I suspected Flash was the culprit. I uninstalled Flash but the problem persisted so I went to bed. This morning after rebooting my desktop FF worked ok. Re installed Flash and all was still alright. ! hour later while playing games on FB FF crashed and after a re start all was fine. Crash report was sent. However if you are curious I will attach the crash report. Thank you for your help Luckydip https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/f16438ea-5eab-4c6f-b0b3-f44132150308

At present I'm satisfied how my PC is running. I do not have any problems with Chrome or Opera. I do not feel comfortable messing with the registry especially after reading the reviews of the program you suggested. You can read about it here. http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?58310-Registry-Reviver-another-rogue-registry-tool&p=376068#post376068 Thanks for your help, and you can call this problem solved to my satisfaction.
