Mozilla Firefox version 34.0.5 (x 86 en-US) when down loaded does not open. I tried changing the admin rights but to no avail. I reloaded the previous version of firefox and it worked perfectly until it was overwritten with the automatic update. I have an Asus laptop Model G74S using Window 7.

It should not. When the subscription expires, the program stops working. All that should happen is you keep getting a warning to re-subscribe. If you want, you can contact their support and ask about it. Have you remove that program?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift (Mac Options) > key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

The problem had something to do with Norton Antivirus program. My Antivirus program was up for renewal and I thought I would change to Vipre. In doing so , the new version of Firefox works. Some how the ANtivirus did not allow the program to start?

The program was not completely expired before I changed it. I had 1 day left. Didn't want to be without.
