I know I asked this sort of question before, but I've got a different kind of problem. I have a feed I just added; it's not a generic feed--it looks normal. When I click on the feed to open it, the website (Feedzilla) just takes me back to where I found the link, so that doesn't help. Please note that when I tried to subscribe to the feed with "Live Bookmarks", the normal procedure didn't work (that is, the "LB" box didn't come up, and the website simply sent me back to the page where I found the link. Consequently, I had to manually copy the link and paste it into the "Subscribed Feeds" folder. What am I missing?

Sounds that this feed isn't send with an acceptable content type for a feed if Firefox doesn't show the subscribe to this feed page. You can try to check that in "Tools > Page Info > General" or in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer).

Can you post a link to that feed?

Yes, that feed is send as text/html and not as application/rss+xml or application/xhtml+xml

Try this data URI in the location/address bar.

data:text/html,<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Feedzilla: Football - Nfl News" href="http://news.feedzilla.com/en_us/headlines/sports/football-nfl.rss?client_source=feed" />

cor-el, I tried that feed; it still didn't work. What now?

Do you get the subscribe page if you paste the code in the location/address bar and clicked the subscribe RSS button that you can find in the Customize palette if you haven't such a button on a toolbar?

This works for me.

cor-el, I tried your suggestion--it didn't work. The feeder bold textstillbold text doesn't recognize the feed. Do you have any other suggestions?

Does it at least work if you use "Preview in Firefox" for Web Feed in "Options > Applications"?

The data URI that I posted above works for me to get the subscribe page when I click the RSS feed button, so I'm not sure why it doesn't works for you.

You can try to clear the cache or use Ctrl+F5 to bypass the cache.

cor-el, it still doesn't work; however, I did some digging and found tha Feedzilla is designed fo websites, not individual users. I'm going to forget it. Thanks for your help.
