I have to access a specific site to complete some ADOBE forms. I connect & enter text OK ... But any time I press SAVE .. it attempts to send then I get the error: Bad Request Invalid Header - Error 400

I did contact the web owners IT dept. .... but they said its working fine, and error 400 is client side issue.

I searched on this forum ... deleted cache & cookies, and set to custom so both are deleted on closing browser. However no change - still getting error on save.

Its not a 'false error' i.e. when I log back in it has not saved any of my iput.

Sargan, you should try to reset firefox, if you have anything important, copy the backup files. Check your security software; Expired security software causing problems should be removed since it can't be updated. All installed Firefox extensions - many security products install them. Whether any security software has been uninstalled. Often, parts of uninstalled security software are left behind. If security software needs to be removed, uninstalling from Add/Remove Programs in Windows is always the safest method. If there are problems uninstalling, some companies offer a removal tool.

In the link it gives instructions to : menu > Help > RESET . This does not exist when I look there .... nearest seems to be "Restart with add-on disabled"

Is reset now somewhere else ?

Just to clarify this is a new install of Firefox ... did a clean install of OS last week, and installed FF at that time. My PC security software full new install at same time.

Still the same ... no forms access.

The eForm opens .. but when you try and click on buttons on enter a text field - no response.

IE and Chrome work fine

This bad request error is almost always caused by corrupted cookies.

If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies got corrupted.

  • Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
