How do I recover add-ons?

After recent FireFox update, I followed suggestion to restore default settings. This required that some customization be redone but all went well until I responded to prompts about syncing.

Sync had always been automatic. I was unsuccessful logging into old sync so registered for new Sync. All my add-ons are now gone.

Is there a way to recover them?

I should have said extensions. At any rate, I did it from scratch so no help needed now. Thanks anyway.
