How do I uninstall the Pinterest Pin It button?

Posted

I hate the new pin it button that puts "pin it" over every damn thing I am doing. I am editing my blog, and PIN IT appears over every picture!! every time I scroll over it. I want to get rid of this and return to just pinning what I want when I want, which isn't often. Does anyone know how to get rid of the PIn It button?

Chosen solution

I think it could be generated by an extension. Check on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Command+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Anything from Pinterest you can disable or remove here?

By the way, you can still use the old bookmarklet button that only runs when you click it. You should see "Looking for the Pinterest Bookmarklet?" in the third section of the page and you can click that to find the old button you drag to your Bookmarks Toolbar: https://about.pinterest.com/en/goodies
