None of the command buttons (eg., reply, forward, delete, view) on the mail page are displayed. They do show up in Safari, so problem is with FF. I've followed Mozilla menu choices, nothing addresses or fixes problem, only endless loop. Tried to find an answer on the help and community pages, but found nothing that pertains, same loop situation. I'm using FF32.0. Buttons used to work until a few days ago; don't remember changing settings.

Is the area where the buttons normally appear completely blank or do you see small symbols, such as a rectangle with two rows of two characters?

In case you haven't tried "the usual":

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

Use Command+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

"3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • click the padlock or globe icon in the address bar > More Information > "View Cookies"

In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

jscher2000,

Thank you, too, for the information. I went with the second response, as it was simpler, but will keep your suggestions if the problem arises again and the quick solution doesn't work.
