With the latest update 136.01 whenever I click on any Thunderbird mail I get a popup screen that says "Thunderbird Email wants to access you Google account".

The screen implies there is an "Alow" link that I should click on but none exists! Then the only way out of this screen is use the esc key. That takes me back to my Thunderbird mail but anything I try to initialise thi popo up screen again. So my email account is totally unusable. I have used Thunderbird over ten years and have not had any problem. I hope it can be fixed. Thank You. Gary Nye. text me at xxx 408 9995

I can no longer move emails to the folder of my choice. If I drag and drop an email into a folder it never goes there, sometimes it does nothing, sometimes the email disappears like it moved but it never ends up in the folder I drop it into, I search all the folders I have created and the email I moved is GONE! I look in the "Trash" bins I can find and the email is GONE!

Version 128.8.0esr (64-bit) I tried too update the version that is an exercise in confusion.


Side note, the only way to copy and paste the version number is using the keyboard, if you highlight the text in ABOUT, right click it does nothing! No popup window giving you the option to copy. First time in 30 years I have seen this problem.

good morning, messagefilters have stopped working on popmail inbox, whether automatically on TB start or even manually. i checked everything, it looks ok but does not work.

this is an additional issue with TB which lately has been plagued with a number of dysfunctions on macos, and this is sad because this was a good reason to stick with you and send you funds to continue.

I have wasted so mch time energy and lost so many mails due to the faulty versions of TB lately that I am seriously considering quitting, and relating/sharing my late experiences on my professional social networks.

what solution do you suggest so that this product of yours finally behaves as it is supposed to.

was great at the beginning, becoming a nightmare. can t cope. regards

Bugs updating from ESR to 136 Release Channel and Owl

Good morning, As the Release channel is the new default one, I updated my ESR version to the new 136.0. And now there are some things that doesn't work :-( I've my Exchange account configured with Owl addon. It's compatible, and it's enabled, but I see two bugs:

  • Msg filter are not applied automatically, I've to apply them manually. Very annoying!
  • The Exchange account Inbox messages are not displayed in the Inbox unified folder. I've to manually add it every time I restart.

Are these bugs from TB or Owl? How I should proceed?

Cannot print attachment through Thunderbird

When I receive an attachment in an email, I have the option of opening it, in this case a PDF. Then the attachment is properly displayed, and one of the options given is to print the attachment. When I select print, I get a progress gif that just continues to spin; nothing gets printed. I can open the PDF with Adobe and print it so I know the PDF file is intact.

Help.

I'm trying to import my contacts from Outlook. When I choose import from Outlook, it doesn't import anything. So then I exported from Outlook as a CSV file, and imported into TB. But only the first and last names are importing. I'm mapping the email column to 'primary email', and also mapping the work phone column to 'work phone' and the cell phone column to 'mobile number'.

But emails and phones are not importing.

I'm using TB 136.0 on Win Server 2019

Hi all. I have repeatedly tried to delete all the default Thunderbird categories in Settings > Calendar > Categories, but every time i do, and restart Thunderbird, they reappear. I'm on 128.6.0esr 64-bit, no add-ons except for Darko and Allday Tasks, and i've tested this with Allday Tasks removed. Renaming them and THEN deleting them works, but deleting a default category with its default name doesn't. I guess it's a bug and i'm reporting it.

I have a problem with searching for emails in Thunderbird. It finds older emails, but it doesn't find any emails from this week at all. Sometimes, it even fails to find automatic emails sent to customers, such as order confirmations or shipment notifications.

Could you please help me with this? It’s slowing me down and making my work more difficult.
