My Thunderbird client has stopped receiving more messages. The size of the inbox is 4.5. Is there a limit on the inbox size? If so can it be increased? Thanks Willia… (lees meer)

I use an AOL email account and Thunderbird on my Mac. In Thunderbird, the junk mail folder - which AOL call "Bulk Mail" for some reason - has moved to the Trash folder and I can't get it out. It's a Thunderbird problem - if I go onto my account at AOL.com, everything is normal. How do I get it out? I've tried cutting and pasting it, creating a new folder...nothing seems to work. I don't want to empty the trash in case I no longer have a junk folder at all

My Thunderbird goes through periods where it can receive but not send emails. I am presented with the following message, see attachment. The number may vary but the message is always the same, I am being blacklisted. Can anyone tell me way this is happening, and what to do to fix it, Please? If you change your Thunderbird setting on your PC from POP to Imap, how do you change setting on phone if you are not allowed to change them? Do you have to delete existing POP account and setup/add the new Imap version. ? Can you also force stop the POP account and try to change settings that way?

Good morning, As the Release channel is the new default one, I updated my ESR version to the new 136.0. And now there are some things that doesn't work :-( I've my Exchange account configured with Owl addon. It's compatible, and it's enabled, but I see two bugs:

  • Msg filter are not applied automatically, I've to apply them manually. Very annoying!
  • The Exchange account Inbox messages are not displayed in the Inbox unified folder. I've to manually add it every time I restart.

Are these bugs from TB or Owl? How I should proceed?

Damage of all cyrillic symbols in subfolders' (not folders'!) names occurs after update from the latest minor version 128.x.x to 136.0.

The names of subfolders in Russian (marked in a large red rectangle) are damaged now. However, their names in the upper right zone (marked in a small red rectangle) near message count are shown correctly in Cyrillic (Russian)...

Notes: 1 - Subfolder names are broken (see the 1st screenshot). 2 - Folder names are good (see the 2nd screenshot). 3 - Some zones are faded by me in case of privacy.

How to fix it?

Dear Team After Updating from 102.15.1 (32Bit) to 115.28.0 (32Bit) I can not connect to the provider "pop.hispeed.ch" anymore. Ping pop.hispeed.ch (on CMD) shows normal raction of beeing reachable with a "reply from xxxx.". I am on Windows 7 SP1. I have checked several times all setting POP and SMTP, switched off Firewall, uninstalled virus scanner, and and and many more (all knowledge found on internet..). Pressing the "Get Message" button in the upper menue bar shows no raction when pressed. The icon "Get Message" on the left side of the button "+ New Message" results in a none moving blue status bar at the right bottom of the window. After a while with the message "timed out.. ".In the settings "Config Editor.." the values of "mailnews.tcptimeout" are set to "300", and "true". I am using TB since donkey years with many many eMails. Are the lost? Cannot print attachment through Thunderbird

When I receive an attachment in an email, I have the option of opening it, in this case a PDF. Then the attachment is properly displayed, and one of the options given is… (lees meer)

When I receive an attachment in an email, I have the option of opening it, in this case a PDF. Then the attachment is properly displayed, and one of the options given is to print the attachment. When I select print, I get a progress gif that just continues to spin; nothing gets printed. I can open the PDF with Adobe and print it so I know the PDF file is intact.

Help.

Thunderbird inbox shows wrong sender name for message, overriding what the person actually sent with something from its data base. Attached screen shots illustrate:

-- Message is sent from danmargsullivan@earthlink.net. This was a joint account for a married couple. When they sent messages, each would have their Email client show the name of the sender. The husband died several years ago, and now the wife is the only one using the account.

-- Screen Shot #1: When I access the message via Thunderbird, for some reason it overrides the name provided by the sender with something from its data base (in this case, the name of the dead husband).

-- Screen Shot #2: When I access the message directly from Gmail, it shows the correct sender name.

This seems to me to be a bug. But if it's not, is there some parameter I can set so that Thunderbird doesn't "help" me with overrides like this?
