when loading up Google search or try to login to Youtube I get this message Secure Connection Failed

There is a site I visit regularly that will not connect. I get an error 429 code. This doesn't happen with any other site I've used recently, and I can access the site with my iPad. I've tried clearing cookies and restarting the computer, but still can't get to this site. Any ideas?

I get an error message when trying to load Newsmax.com - It comes up with no problem in Safari - maybe I should use Safari as my default browser.
