I want to know if there is a new updated firefox that I have not gotten yet and if so if it works with Windows 8.1

Yesterday on September 1, 2016 An updater came onto my Firefox that said it was a new update loader and it just kept scanning but never did anything! Then My AVAST Premier came up and said it was a hoax and stopped it from working! My computer is an older desktop which is low on space but is linked to my smart phone (Android) and it's also linked to my smart tablet (Android) both from Consumer Cellular and so far everything was working good except I cannot go to Club Pogo Games on the Android devices but still have it on my desktop...which is ok however now my Firefox keeps crashing and takes a long time to come up which I am attributing to the lack of space on my desktop....everything was working fine before this updater came on and got stuck! I Love Firefox and I don't want to stop using it....could you please help me with this matter and if all I have to do is refresh Firefox and then sync it again to my smart phone and tablet...would you please help me with that....also Android says they do not support Flash which is used on My Gaming site....at ClubPogo.com Is there a way around that issue....Android says it is because Flash is not secure and can pick up viruses...could you help me with this issue also! I am 70 yrs young and did not want to go to new horizons in my desktop computer but I did update to a smart phone and a tablet only through Firefox! I am not really computer literate but I do get by and I am learning however I bought a small laptop and it was set up to Windows 10 and before I could put a Anti-Virus on the little lap top....it crashed and I cannot set it up so I wasted my time and money on that little lap top! I live on a fixed income and I sure could use your advice and help. Sincerely, Bonnie Marie Nyholm Barry I have both an e-mail at gmail and at yahoo

Sorry, but there is a determined pusher of malware that is displaying fake update pages, typically bright orange with a Firefox Logo and pushing a download without your first clicking on anything. If you think this might possibly have infected your computer, please use this free cleaner:

https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/

Our support article also lists other cleaners that you can use to supplement it: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.

Since the redirects to the phishing pages are believed to be pushed through ads on popular sites, you also could consider an ad blocking extension if you do not already use one. For example:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

And to report the download site, see: I found a fake Firefox update

Regarding the Windows 10 laptop, did it come with a Recovery Disk or instructions for doing a reset on the system? You probably can find steps for that from the manufacturer or from Microsoft.

Regarding Android and Flash, that's a tough one. The most recent versions of Android probably don't work well with the old Flash plugin any more. Many companies are now offering their games as separate apps instead of through your browser, so you might search the Google Play store for that. Make sure to only install the official app from the game publisher because you often find related-sounding apps that are not the real thing.
