Firefox is Infected with "ads by dns blocker" cannot remove even though I am a Cisco SP IT pro.will not be able to use firefox until fixed-OG backer,very sad.
Very Sad Panda... have use Firefox since its infancy and am /was a fervent "Firefox evangelist" until this "aids,sorry I mean "ads by dns unlblocker" infection appeared,it is currently ONLY affecting firefox,I have tried every possible solution but reluctantly will have to abandon firefox until a cure for this nasty piece of code can be found. byeeeeeeee. thank you, maybe you should choose among adblock for youtube and youtube adblock. not sure if such similar addons will work well together.
secondly you appear to have a user.js file in your profile folder which is often a sign of adware on a device (unless you manually/intentionally created that file yourself). in order to address that go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named user.js (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.
you also might want to run a scan of your system with different security tools specialised in adware like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner.

Thanks Phillip, after a few runs ADW cleaner seems to have sorted it out and I'm back barrel rolling(Forefox pun :) again, thank you for your prompt assistance!.
