In the last week, I can't open multiple gmail accounts. Each time I add an account, I get signed out from the previous one. This never happened before

Each time I add an account, this message appears: "You have been signed out of this account.

This may have happened automatically because another user signed in from the same browser. To continue using this account, you will need to sign in again. This is done to protect your account and to ensure the privacy of your information."

This only happens in the last week, never happened before. I used 2 accounts simultaneously for years...

I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks Diego, but the first option pretty much describes what I did so far, but in the last week it's just not working and I get signed out automatically when I try to switch accounts.

As for the add-on suggestion, I hoped there would be a solution, because up until a week ago, it all worked just fine...

By the way, it only happens in firefox, in chrome there is no problem at all.

Did you set Firefox to start in Private Window/Tab?

If yes, maybe it is the problem , set Firefox to keep the cookies and history:

I didn't change anything in the settings, and I checked now and all 3 check-boxes are checked: "remember my browsing and download history", "remember search and form history", and "accept cookies from sites". I'm really confused because it just started to happen with no reason, I didn't change anything.
