Actually a person in the community tried to answer my question, but he didn't look at my full question, so it was a total waste of time. I have Tidy Favorites & love the little pictures of each of my saved websites, & the easy way it is to save new websites. But, I hate that Tidy Favorites isn't updated anymore, so that I can't change my ID & password! Can someone at Mozilla Firefox please tell me if there is a similar program to Tidy Favorites that I could change to, for saving my favorite websites, where I can change my ID & password if I need to? I've already looked at your huge, long list of bookmarks that are available. It's way too long of a list, without good descriptions to figure out. I need an answer please to this question. I don't even know if Tidy Favorites is a bookmark program or what it is. but I want something very similar to it. Thanks.

I cannot get PDF files to open for viewing in Firefox. I am on Mac OS platform. This seems to be such an ongoing issue. I have followed the troubleshooting procedures to no avail. I like the look of Firefox better than Chrome, but I am switching over to Chrome because PDF's are so much easier to handle on Chrome, and I am sick of wasting time with this. Any last minute tips or advice?

I was working with a css file developing a website. Firefox was open for awhile and went to refresh the html page and it would not refresh. tried the clock wise arrow (did not work) forced refresh (alt+ f5) did not work, tried shift+ left mouse (did not work), tried alt +shift+ r (did not work). went as far as to uninstall Firefox and then reinstalled it, (did not work). I am at witts end. It use to work. I have a support ticket at the editor's support site waiting on answer from them incase it is my editor causing the problem. and know waiting on your reply. You will blame my editor and they will blame you and I don't know who to blame. I just know it does not work, I have checked my end, everything works in other browsers. I am having this problem just in Firefox. Do you have any suggestions on a fix for this?

My homepage is my.yahoo.com and is listed as the start page under Options > General. This address is my customized Yahoo page. When FF v. 21 (just updated yesterday) starts the generic version of My Yahoo starts with the URL http://my.yahoo.com/?_bc=1. So each time I start FF I have to manually log in to Yahoo to get my personalized start page. I check the box to remember me, but to no avail. I have cookies enabled.

Never had this problem until the update. Any ideas?

After upgrading to FF 21, search engines no longer appear in the bar on the top right of screen, so no searches are possible. I can navigate to my bookmarks and apparently also to links contained in emails.

If I right-click on the FF icon, and choose the "run as administrator " option, the search engines are there again. I tried deleting the parent.lock file from the profiles folder, as this solution had solved a problem I'd had recently with the previous version of FF (not being able to open FF, and getting the error message about another version of it running, which had to be closed first - but there was no other version running. In that case, too, before finding out about the solution, I was able to open FF by using the "run as administrator" option). However deleting the parent.lock file didn't solve this problem.

I'd be grateful for your help, especially if put in simple terms a not hugely computer-literate person like myself can understand!

Recently parts of the text but not all the text on a webpage has started to blur or distort. Sometimes this distortion moves to the right. If i hover my mouse over the distortion or scroll the page it disappears. This is especially annoying on Facebook ect. I have not noticed this problem in IE or Chome but i havn't used either for prolonged periods to be honest. It's hard to test what causes it because the problem is intermittent, Facebook is affected the worst but have had this problem on other websites including this form and even in the Addon menu.

I have tried, running in safe mode, disabling plugins and clearing the cache none of which have solved the problem.

I'm tired of not being able to change my old ID and password on TidyFavorites, because you do not update that program anymore. Do you have a great bookmark program like TidyFavorites, with the cute pictures of each website, that I can switch to? I've already looked through your list and it's way too long to figure out. Can you give me your top 1-3 choices please? And, can you tell me how to switch from TidyFavorites to the new bookmark program without losing my 50 websites? Thanks.

I set my home page to MSN and I used to get the "normal" MSN page with graphics, pictures and news print. Firefox changed my MSN home page to a "list" view that shows just links, no pictures (or very few) and no print to read the news. How can I get Firefox to recognize a normal MSN page?

ever since I upgraded to 18 and now to 20.0.1, my cache viewer addon does not work. When I check the addon developer's website, the reason is that you have deleted the API that this addon needs to work without telling anyone. Why are operating with Microsoft operating procedures? I switched to Firefox because I had a grave mistrust of IE and Micrsoft due to this type of behaviour.

My Firefox crashes when trying to open 75% of web pages. I get the windows standard "Firefox is not responding" window after it freezes while trying to load the page.

I have singled out the problem to be the Shockwave Flash (11.5.502.149) plugin as everything works correctly with this disabled.

I have tried updated flash, uninstalling and re-installing it and the same with FF but nothing seems to work so far.

Please see this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/936004. The last two posts indicate that someone said that installing the latest version of SW Flash solved the problem and someone responded that it didn't work for them. Then the thread was closed.

I have had SW Flash disabled for a long time now because of the problem. So, I installed the latest version, enabled it, and the problem still exists (I also have FF v20).

I don't know what causes the problem. Mozilla has been completely mum on the issue, i.e., they don't appear to even acknowledge it is a bug (I don't care whether it's FF's problem or Adobe's or both - I experience it in FF).

For those of you who don't want to read the other thread, here's a summary of the problem. If you open a new window in FF, it sometimes (usually?) doesn't focus on the new window but opens it and switches the focus back to the first window. It happens on the right-click menu. It happens sometimes when you just click on a link. It even happens just by typing in a URL in the address window. The only thing that eliminates the problem is to disable SW Flash.

I have disabled all add-on's yet I still can not get http://www.dxmaps.com to load. It loads on Google Chrome and IE just fine. I believe it is related to the 'allow reload' feature. It doesn't matter if I disable the ALLOW it won't load. If I click on the Allow just keeps popping up and still never loads the maps. I hate to go to Chrome just because this can't be turned off for a specific site.

Please fix it!

Windows 7 64bit, 2.9gig AMD dual core, 8gig ram

I get over 10 Script error messages per day telling me that "an error has occurred in the script on this page" from websites I have not visited. This is the one just now:

I was going thru the help screen in one of my add-ons. It told me; adjust the duration of alert box being displayed by changing the default setting It said to type about:config in the address bar, then find alerts.totalOpenTime and change its value. I looked, but could not find anything with this name. I also looked under; alerts, total, Open, and Time. Anyone know what I should be looking for?

Using Win7 Pro and Firefox 20.0.1. Keep getting an application 'App Manager' starting suggesting I download three things to let me upload to certain sites including Twatter. I have no desire to use the suggested apps, but cannot fing anything professing to be an App Manager. Is it something in Firefox or Windows? Any help in getting rid would be much appreciated
