This started happening a few weeks back and I can't get rid of the problem. Have looked at other forum entries/responses but I don't have anything suspicious (like Tuto/Sweet etc) in Add or Remove Programmes. Whenever I open Mozilla, tabs for random ads appear. I delete them and then all's fine, until the next time I open Mozilla. Not sure why it's suddenly started happening but would really appreciate your suggestions for stopping it! Many thanks

I want to embed video in my html page and use data URI to provide video source: [video controls] [source src="data:video/ogg;base64,[video base64 code]" /] /video

This code works fine in Opera and Google Chrome, but in Firefox some of my videos are not properly loaded. Video is playing, but I can't seek in it and don't see its length.

I use Firefox 21 on Centos 6.2 and Windows 7.

My Firefox crashes when trying to open 75% of web pages. I get the windows standard "Firefox is not responding" window after it freezes while trying to load the page.

I have singled out the problem to be the Shockwave Flash (11.5.502.149) plugin as everything works correctly with this disabled.

I have tried updated flash, uninstalling and re-installing it and the same with FF but nothing seems to work so far.

When I enter about:config into the adress box I get only an empty page. The about:config works normally on safe mode.

I have tried to check all boxes in the safe mode window, this did not help. I even manually disabled all add-ons and plugins, but this didn't help either.

Any ideas what to do?

i reset ff but two addons remain, fluxdvd download manager 0.5 been trying to get rid of this one for a long time and microsoft.net framework assistant 0.0.0 .

Firefox is not hanging as I can access all the items in the menu bar and change the settings as well. it just seems to need time before it can connect to my server even though Safari is working fine. Once the page loads up in firefox it works fine after.

I have added 3 email addresses and confirmed them, yet I still get sent back to the dashboard. Infuriating.

I simply want to let Mozilla know that they need to provide an alternate browser for the iPod Touch. Or, if they have, I am having trouble finding it.

We are trying to use HTTPS client certificate based authentication to access a Java Applet in Firefox v21.0. We have followed the instructions as per the below two urls to enable JSS 4 -

The client cert based authentication is working when using IE v8 and IE v9 with the same JRE version (JRE version 1.7.0_25-b16 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM)

Any help to resolve this issue will be very much appreciated.

Dear developers, for some time Firefox has a plugincheck "feature". Is there any way to turn it off? This blocks contents for eg. flash videos, so I have to enable the "old" plugin for each website... I do not care if my plugins are up to date or not. I'll update them if I want to. This is a very annoying thing in the firefox :( I use this browser for many years, but as you develop this, it just getting worse and worse. Slow, eats a lots of memory, some "plugin container" slows my whole system sometime and now this plugincheck. I'm seriously thinking about changig browser if there's no way to turn it off :( Please answer ASAP (no answer, like "we are planing..." is acceptable) Thank You for answering.

I can get Firefox to open, but other than that nothing works. It doesn't respond to type or the mouse. In fact, it acts like your keyboard or mouse are no longer working. Which they are.

It was working fine & then it just stopped.

I've tried uninstalling & re-installing. That didn't help, nor did going back to an older version. I even tried using Windows restore point & going back in time. Nothing has helped.

My OS is Vista.

When I try and open the Firefox drop down menu there is no text to explain the different options. The same thing happens when I try and right click, there is no text only blank spaces. If someone can help I would really appreciate it. I have used Firefox for a long time and I would hate to have to stop using it. I can post screenshots if needed.

I want to send the screenshot of my desktop to my tech support. Using Gmail I paste the printscreen into the mail but when I click send it gives me an error message which says "Script not Responding" I tried to click continue a many times but it does not respond and finally firefox crashes.

I have tried doing the same using Google Chrome and that works fine. Hence i feel this is a bug with firefox and look forward for a solution on this.

Recently I was forced to restart Firefox after a series of unexplained crashes, which I do not mind at all. I decided to create a new persona for Firefox in order to start again, but ran into an unexpected problem. Although my header and footer were their respective requested sizes, upon using the persona I could only see the top right-hand third of the image. I attempted scaling down my images in Photoshop and resubmitting them, but anything smaller than the requested size is not accepted.

I am using a smart card (CAC) to login to a website. Logging out of the website and trying to log back in causes firefox to show the sec_error_token_not_logged_in error instead of asking for my pin.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Use smart card to login to a PKCS#11 secured website. e.g. http://www.sldcada.disa.mil/ Firefox will correctly ask for the smart card pin and authenticate. 2. logout and remove smart card 3. insert smart card and attempt to login again. Firefox will display the above error.

Expected Behavior:

At step 3 firefox will ask for my smart card pin to unlock the token and then authenticate with the website.

Workaround:

2.5 Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Encryption > View Certificates. Enter pin when prompted. Close the preferences windows. Step 3 will now work as expected because the smart card has been unlocked.

Normally I would select/wrap text in Firefox and right click and choose copy from the top of menu, click and go to Word,Notepad etc. and go to paste but nothing there paste item in menu greyed out.

It works ok ctrl v and c but is frustrating because the built-in function is so much cleaner
