How do I mark an Event as Completed?

more options

Is there a way to mark an Event as being Completed? Perhaps having a line drawn through it or changing colors?

Thanks,

jbacinti

Chosen solution

Create a task and when you select the task the Mark Complete is active. It is not active for events. Pretty clear to me it is not an option for an event. I cannot even think of a reason to mark an event complete. An event has a date and time. It is done when that time passes.

Surely someone out thee knows the answer to my question. Even if there is no way to mark an Event as completed, I can be OK with it but I'll bet there is a way and I'm just missing it.

Thanks,

Under the Events & Tasks menu, there is a Mark Completed option. Does that work?

It is my understanding that event is just a reminder of when something is going to happen. When that time and date arrives you get reminded. When that time passes then the event is a past item. No need to mark it complete.

If you create a task then you can mark it complete.

Airmail,

See the attached image. I also noticed this before but didn't understand it. If there's a check mark there, what does that mean? The check mark option says to me that the function is active but where?

sfhowes,

Sorry, I meant the above response to go to you but I suppose every one can see it. Maybe it will catch the developers eyes.

Airmail,

I just finished another look through of the function and i saw exactly what you describe. I'm going to have to change my thinking a bit as I am used to using ReminderFox. I'm going to try Lightning and see if its functionality to sync through fruux.com to my iPhone.

Speaking of syncing, do you know of a document or web page that explains how to set this up. I'm familiar with fruux and was having way to much trouble setting it up again with RmFx, got frustrated and found Lightning. I went through the process using fruux and what Lightning did did not match what fruux was telling me to do. Is there any other intermediary besides Google to assist in syncing Lightning to an iPhone?

Sorry cannot help with that. I do not sync my desktop and phone calendars.
