I use Mozilla Foxfire and It is always giving me a message that I have "No Virtual Memory" It does the same when I use Windows Xp. I don't know much about computers, but I follow instructions well, if someone can tell me how to fix this or point me in the right direction?

^This message comes up when I try to open Firefox on my MacBook Pro. I've been using it a long time but it crashed during an update. I've tried the other troubleshooting issues, and I do not seem to have any files in the Library or Application Support. I am NOT a techie and I have no idea what I am doing. Please help! ASAP!

Hi All, Very fond of Firefox browser and would like to know what the Best Version for my Lap-Top is suggested. Currently running Win Vista Business, Dell Inspiron 6400, 2GB ram, Intel 2.00GHz, 32-bit. Due to the fact this system is older, I have not upgraded to the the most recent 21.0 Not to mention the ad-dons that may or may-not be affected. Current version is: 18.0.1 and seems to run very well. I have been getting notices of a New update available for 21.0 Not Sure why. As an average computer user I hope to inspire some assistance to determine my best course of action.

yesterday my hard disk crash after setting up my computer when i try to synchronize Mozilla it didnot recover my bookmark nd my history......i am very worried...

following are my step which i do to recover my bookmarks

1 :Click Create a New Account 2: enter my email address ,password nd recovery key 3: in sync option i chose "replace all data on this device with sync data" i also tried "merge this device data with sync data"

but it did not solve my problem plz help as it contain last 2 year bookmarks.....:-(

I learned recently about the Firefox Sync feature, but if the only thing I want to do is transfer bookmarks from an FF21.0 installation on an old computer to an FF21.0 installation on a new computer, can't I just copy and paste the "places.sqlite" file ? On my new laptop there are no saved bookmarks in Firefox to worry about. I tried the copy and paste, and verified on new laptop that the original places.sqlite file was replaced, as planned, by places.sqlite from the old computer, but even after restarting FF, no transferred bookmarks showed up.

The other approach I took was to do an Import of bookmarks from html, but quickly learned of the problems involved with importing an html file with a .json extension.

Any suggestions?

Firefox 21 crashes whenever a link is opened in a Google search or when Firefox is opened from a link. I have 2 disks in the computer, one running Windows 7 and the other Windows 8. Firefox 21 crashes on both. All drivers are up to date per Slim Drivers. Windows is up to date. Norton Internet Security is running, up to date and a full system scan reports no issues. Scans by other security software programs report no issues.

For trouble shooting the following has been done: - Reset Firefox - Disabled all Firefox addons - Start Firefox in safe mode - Disabled programs running in the background using PC Mag's "EndItAll" - Disabled all startups using MSConfig and restarted - Disabled all non MS services using MSConfig and restarted - Uninstalled Firefox 21 using Revo Uninstaller set to advancesd mode, thereby clearing the registry and files of all extraneous Firefox settings. After that, a fresh copy of Firefox was reinstalled. - Tested memory (Memtest86+)

Reverting to Firefox 20 solves the problem. I reverted to Firefox 20 by deleting Firefox folders in Program Files (x86), and in the Local and Roaming folders. The contents of those folders was replaced with a backup that had been running v20.

Hi I feel the add on with the small box showing download progress is far too small to see clearly. Very difficult with fading eyesight and quite uncomfortable to view. Something 20 mm high and 20 mm wide would be a good start to improve this. Many thanks

Good day to all. My Firefox (upgraded to v21 a few months ago) has been giving me some strange problems. Most of them are just bothersome. The problem I want to ask about is the spell checker. When I right click on a web page, I get the usual menu, but I also get choices that I think are coming from the spell checker. It does not happen all the time, but when it does I will get the correction list (sometimes a long list). The funny thing is, I get this when I right click on text I marked, a web link I right clicked, I even get it when I right click on an empty area of the web page. I tried turning the spell checker off, but the correction list still shows up. Another problem I have is with the control buttons; <Home>, <Page Up>, <End>, and <Page Down>. They will work fine on one page, but not on another page at the same site. Sometimes when I press the <Page Up>, the browser goes to the top of the current page. At one time, I had problems with the Adblock-Plus add-on. I would start Firefox, but Adblock-Plus would be gone. I think I fixed the problem. See the link below. I think my Firefox program has been affected by a virus I picked up from a video converting website. Only Firefox has been affected.

When I click on the Firefox icon to open it, a window opens normally. However, no Firefox icon appears in my Dock and the menu bar does not appear as well. Also, the application does not appear in the "Force Quit" list.

Every once in a while some weird "Java" app opens and asks me to confirm something, but I just click cancel. It does not appear to be legitimately Java.

Finally, I cannot uninstall Firefox because when I try to drag and drop the icon from my applications folder to my trash, it says it cannot delete because the application is open. But it's not!

I LOCATED THE PROFILE THAT TRANSFERRED FROM THE OLD XP COMPUTER. I'M NOT COMPUTER LITERATE SO I DON'T RELATE THAT THE FILE HAS NOT PUT THE DATA INTO BOOKMARKS AND PASSWORDS. I DID THIS A FEW WEEKS AGO AND FIREFOX PICKED UP AND DISPLAYED THE INFO WHEN IT FELT LIKE IT! DELL HAD TO DO AN OPERATING SOFTWARE RELOAD AND I'M STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN.

HOW DOES THE DATA GET PICKED UP AND LOADED INTO FIREFOX TO USE IT. WENT FROM XP TO WINDOWS 7/SP1

When 20 came around, I immediately got back the downloads window, 'cause, y'know, the whole download tab was just an awful, awful idea. "Oops, I accidentally closed Firefox while my downloads were still going!" "Never fear, the downloads window is still open, and so they haven't stopped!" "Nope, not anymore - how cool is that?"

Anyway, I digest...

Updated to 21, now the taskbar isn't showing the green progress bar for the downloads window, just %. Is there a way to get this back please? AND IF NOT, WHY NOT.

The comment box is grayed out on many, but not all videos. The problem is only on FireFox; I can go to the same videos on IE and have no problem posting comments. I have Windows 7 home premium, service pack 1, 64 bit. The problem is new, has been working properly till a few days ago. I refreshed Firefox to default settings, been through Youtube help menus, and Firefox help.

I have tried to find an add on for this protection against someone trying to access a porn site on my nexus. hope u have a suggestion. I did find one for our regular computers but not for the nexus 7. please help me

I just was able to download Firefox for android ver 21.0, I found the above listed add-on when I attempted to down load I was given an error message stating Xenotix was uncompatable with ver 21.0. who do I turn to to find out if there is a fix or plugin that will resolve the comparability issue?

I'm looking for a way to disable the command line -private option. Kind of need to peek at the source code for browsercomps.dll to see which component parses the command line. Does anyone know where the source code is located? I'm running Firefox 21 on Windows 7.

The Mac Keyboard commands (shortcuts) do NOT work on Firefox tabs now that I've updated to 21.0...

⌘f ⌘p ⌘s ⌘w do NOT work on Tabs in any regular and consistent manner now.

Sometimes if I open a tab, and it won't close with ⌘w, if I use a link in that tab it will then work from the new page... When I've multiple tabs open, original tabs won't close, tabs that move on using links will close...

To print, I have to go up and use the menu... This is NOT good...
