Thanks cor-el. Tried that before & have tried again but it will not let me - says The installation encountered errors....is not the most current version. Was not this update supposed to solve this problem without needing further user fixes?

Problem seems to be getting worse since updating from Firefox 13.0 to 13.01. Flash Player crashed 3 times in the 24 hours prior to updating but has crashed 7 times in 6 hours since on checking About:Crashes. At least the system only sticks for a few seconds at each crash & restores itself but it is annoying.

Same problem! I did the update Firefox 1.13 still the same concerns. Thank you for correcting the problem of flash in Firefox!

Try to update to Firefox 13.0.1

The crashes with the [@ LdrShutdownProcess ] signature should be fixed in that version (Bug 747683).

There are multiple threads on here about this problem.. I spent over an hour myself trying to find a solution, and in the end I used the suggestion on Abobe's site here - disabling the download feature in Realplayer.

Hope this helps..

Image on Firefox 13.0.1

Even doing the update still the same worries. I have even reinstall Windows 7 still the same trouble. This is a bug in Firefox!

Did you disable the download feature in Realplayer?

On my PC I didn't even have Real Player!

I have the Download add-on disabled, the 13.01 update installed & Flash Player still crashes - last time 5 minutes ago.

I would suggest you install an earlier version on Flash described elsewhere on these forums, until they get a proper fix for it. That's what I did the first time, but I forgot to tell it not to update its self, so finished up where I started!

Install the earlier version and tell it to ask before updating..

Flash player is crashing constantly throughout the day on my computer and has been for the last three or four days. What's going on?

Have tried installing Flash 11.2 as mentioned above but after downloading it, it wont let me as it is out of date. There are suggestions elsewhere to try 10.3 & I may try that next.

Try to uninstall the current Flash player if you can't install the older version.

You can try the Flash 11.2 player that you can download via this link:

flash is having many issues with mozilla. it is imperative that the two work together to make things work.

...how?

Very strange - have had no crashes today (so far!) after 13 yesterday although some YouTube videos that played yesterday won't today? Have not changed anything today. In the meantime I have downloaded Chrome! - quite like it so far although early days.

Yes, unfortunatly I've invested a lot of time in Firefox with a load of bookmarks and addons, so I will have to bear with it until its sorted..

Firefox 13.01 crashed with latest Adobe Flash, downgrade the Flash to the following did fix the problem:

Yes, but the only problem is that Flash will keep trying to update its self - I had that problem - it did the update its self then I was back to square one!
