How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer

Note: This article doesn't apply to your version of Firefox. It requires the latest Firefox release version which can be downloaded from mozilla.org/firefox.
If you'd rather not use the built-in PDF Viewer, you can use another PDF viewer like Adobe Reader, Nitro PDF Reader or Sumatra PDFAdobe Reader, MozPlugger, or KParts pluginthe Mac OS Preview application or the Schubert|it PDF Browser Plugin.
To switch from the built-in PDF viewer to another PDF viewer:
- At the top of the Firefox window, click on the button and then select At the top of the Firefox window, click on the menu and then select On the menu bar, click on the menu and select At the top of the Firefox window, click on the menu and select
- Select the panel.
- Find Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list and click on it to select it.
- Click on the drop-down arrow in the Action column for the above entry and select the PDF viewer you wish to use.
Note: If you want to view PDF files in Firefox using a plugin, instead of in an external PDF reader application, select Use PDF reader name (in Firefox). - Click to close the Options windowClick to close the Preferences windowClose the Preferences window
