I do see them in my toolbar, but I cannot find either in my downloads or plug-ins. I deleted both from my programs menu in the control panel, but they are still here. I also want to NOT have Yahoo as my default search. I much prefer Google. HELP! New laptop and I hate these stupid presets!!!

If the Amazon and eBay buttons are just bookmarks, you can right-click and Delete them. However, if they are associated with an add-on, you would need to disable or remove the add-on. You can check for those here:

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions (most likely)
orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Plugins (less likely)

If the extension cannot be removed from within Firefox, then you may be able to uninstall it from the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features.

You can use this add-on to switch your default search provider from Yahoo back to Google, but if you still have an add-on that changes that setting, your relief would be temporary...
