I can't close individual tabs. I -CAN- close the entire application, but I don't want that. Also, the Close Tab entry is missing from the File menu.

Is there some feature in FF that allows a site to disable turning off separate tabs? Is this an exploit that certain pages are using? Or...is this an actual bug?

I have a website with embedded mp3 soundtracks that work fine when using IE but not with Firefox (latest version.11Beta). Have tried all the suggested plug-ins to no avail. Running WinXP 64-bit 2003 SP2. Video & soundtrack works fine on other websites such as u-tube.

Page Setup merely changes the topmost title line and freezes the screen except for the ability to close the page and return to the page from which Page Setup was invoked. Print Preview presents a monochrome grey page with the normal menu features that are normally responsive except for the Page Setup function. Print prints a blank page always. Noticed the problems with Firefox versions 10 and 11 and 12 beta, with XP Pro SP2 x64. Firefox version 11 does not have these problems with Windows 7 ult x64.

I am working on a Windows Server 2003 R2 machine. The Firefox version is 10.0.2

Initially, the download gets mysteriously cancelled. Then I had to click the tiny try again icon. The file is about 80 MB in size and I watched it downloading. I also opened the folder it was downloading to. You could see the file place holder (96 Kb). As soon as the file is finished downloading, the place holder vanishes and the location is empty! (I have set hidden files to show).

When the download is finished, the Open options are greyed out.

Is this something HP did or a fault of Firefox?

This used to work well, but now it is not working. If I go to yahoo news, pick any news that has pictures where you can click next, and next, etc... to see them, nothing happens. There is no error message. I cannot go to the next picture. I only see the first picture that is there. This happens to ALL news with pictures. This does not happens with IE or Chrome. the problem is only with Firefox. I am using the latest 10.02.

Any solution? Anything I am doing wrong?

I have used Mozilla for longer than INternet Explorer and think it's great. However, since installing Webroot Security Firefox has routinely started crashing. Not always in the same place or with certain sites, but randomly. I emailed Webroot who said it's not a problem they have encountered, but they issue reguar updates - blah blah. I usually use Norton which is fine, but we have so many PCs / Laptops at home it made sense to buy a bigger licence product.

Environment:

• Firefox 10
• Windows XP 64-bit
• Java 7 installed

I'm attempting to run a JNLP file. When I first run it, I select "Open With" (rather than "Save File") and select "Java(TM) Web Start Launcher (default") as the program to open it with.

I also turn on the "Do this automatically for files like this from now on" button.

However, it doesn't behave as expected. It downloads it to the Downloads folder, displaying this folder in focus (and also creating a new copy of the JNLP file each time I run it). Also the splash screen is displayed but nothing happens.

I am using Firefox and I love to browse websites using it.

But after updating to version 10.0 I am facing problem. The focus doesn't set on textbox of Google search when I open new tab and click on textbox, I have to click on another tasks manager item and then I can see the focus.

I am facing this problem everyday and this happened after updating to this newer version only I was not facing this before.

how do I stop the incompatible add-ons window from popping up when firefox 9.0.1 starts?

Someone said I do not need Console. I have both consoles disabled, but still get the incompatible window.

We have installed firefox on our terminal servers. but currently it is set for auto updates. We need to disable auto updates on a server level so that we have consitancy of version across the board. The solutions I've searched via Google all are solutions for Firefox 2.x but now version 9.0 is out the same methodolgy doesn't apply.

I'm using in the html header:

      <meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache" />
      <meta http-equiv="Expires" content="-1">

In Page_Load() I have:

       Response.Cache.SetNoServerCaching()
       Response.Cache.SetNoStore()

Still, after logout, the back button is loading a cached version of the previous page with the user logged in!!!

How can I prevent this?

I keep having a script run when I am playing Face Book games Especially Battle Pirates and it freezes everything. What can i do to stop it? Or fix it so it dosen't freeze my game?

This script runs over and over while I am playing Battle Pirates. Every time it runs it freezes the darn game and I have to click and click on the screen before a box pops up with a long string and asks if I want to stop the string. This is what it says:

What is this and dose it need to run or is it a hacker messing with me and my FF browser ?

When I'm in the middle of a battle screen and it freezes it messes me up. If I am in full screen when it freezes it throws me to another open Browser tab or out of full screen if i don't have another open.

What is this? Something to do with FaceBook? A Hacker ? A BP game glitch. please help. This is driving me crazy. Imagine being in the middle of the best part of a BP battle and freeze.... then click click click i go and zoom to another open window away from the battle so i no longer have a view of the fight let alone control it or boom to non full screen and 1/2 the screen is obscured.

It just happened again while I was typing this request for help. I have a window open with BP also and it took me there. HELP

All of a sudden when I go to play card games on yahoo, the pictures of the cards are so small I can hardly see them. Also, when I go to play dominoes in yahoo, I have to click on the option window and check small because it won't load otherwise.

Firefox keeps sending notification to "UpDate my Firefox" but because I have XP 64bit - I always check the specifications - if I don't it SCREWS up my PC ... well the update specifications DO NOT SUPPORT 64bit ... now what do I do ? But yet you keep sending me the same notification ... HELP ... I think my Firefox is 8. right now
