im a new user. love it so far. my only complaint is i would like to set a tab homepage. and by that i mean when i hit the + to open a new tab i want to go directly to google. i dont want to be shown sites ive visited.

I cant open the "show all history" or "show all bookmarks" in firefox 12.0. I click on the button and nothing hapenes, I have checked all of my settings, done lots of searches and research to fix this problem and I cant find anything.

All of a sudden, each time I come back to my computer and wake it from standby, Firefox seems to be frozen. Tabs wont open or close, web pages wont scroll, etc. I have to shut down the browser and reopen it. I dont think I've changed any settings recently, but ...

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When opening sites such as twitter and some other sites the screen goes fuzzy with horizontal black lines. When this happens you can't read the anything on the screen. Other browsers have no problems such as this.

After updating to FireFox 22 it had changed the size of my webpages and menus, tabs, and url box. I asked over at mozillaZine forums, and they told me how to change my webpage size by going into config. This worked, however, as i mentioned, i then noticed that my menus, tabs, and url box had become smaller.So now i need to know how to change this as well.

I wonder if anyone knows the way to roll back from an update in Firefox? I do not wish to remove and re-install if it's possible just to roll back. I am using Windows 7 Pro and the "about Firefox" says I have 19.0 installed. The update causing the problem went in on 19/03/2013. Hope someone can help. Regards. G

I have limited screen space, and use Nav Bar on Title Bar, and small icons, to reduce clutter as much as possible. Today there was a Firefox update, which seems to have increased the size of all icons, so that my 'small' icons are nearly as big as the normal sized ones used to be; thus both wasting vertical space and reducing the number of buttons I can get on a toolbar, and the amount of a URL that will fit in the address box. How can I restore all icons back to their original sizes?

Most of the time FF 21 crashes directly after starting it.

- No matter if I restore tabs/session or not.

- If the program opens and I fill in an address in the address bar FF crashes as soon as I click "enter"

- FF crashes immediately when I click on a link (website or download)

- Deactivating Add-Ons didn't help

- Safe Mode crashes the same way

- Creating a new profile didn't help

- Using the "Reset" in "Troubleshooting" didn't do the trick

- Completely removing Adobe Flash and reinstalling latest version: no improvement

- Disabling HW acceleration: no change of problems

If I downgrade to 20.0.1 it works perfectly as it did in the last weeks. After the upgrade to 21 same problems. Downgrade again: all is working.

This applies to my desktop PC. On my notebook the upgrade from 20.0.1 to 21 worked flawlessly - and I am using the same add-ons on both machines. But as disbaling add-ons doesn't help this seems not to be the right direction anyway.

I've sent about 2 dozens of crash reports now using the integrated assistent. Hope this helps narrowing down the issue.

This morning, my Roboform toolbar has vanished! I'm really stuck without it too!!

Having checked these, I'm running Firefox 20.0.1, Roboform 7.8.8.5 and Roboform toolbar for Firefox 7.8.6.5

After I upgrade to Firefox 21, I also upgraded to Flash Player 11. Now when I start Firefox it hangs up before it opens any site. I can only close it using task manager. When I uninstall Flash Player, Firefox works fine. I tried installing an older version of Flash, and that didn't work either. Windows 7.

Every time I return to my home page another Mozilla Start Page tab pops up. I can get multiple such tabs. How do I stop them from appearing? Nothing I have tried works, and that little grid one so-called suggestion doesn't work because the grid rarely appears.

Searches from the Address bar consistently bring results from wind.search-help.net with our ISP's name and logo (Windstream). I've changed the settings in about:config keyword:URL, reset it (blank) and tried multiple variations of the Google address.

IE works as expected with address bar searches but Firefox (20.0.1 and many earlier versions as well) will not. I can find no instances of 'windstream' or 'search-help' in the registry. It's quite annoying because the search results are not so great from this provider! Are there any other solutions to this issue?

Foxytunes has not been available for several Firefox upgrades. I also not longer have the sort addon for Bookmarks. These are far more useful to me than social media addons.

greetings, i have a very weird problem with the website http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/ which is the portal of the national library of medicine. When i put a query on the search field i.e. "diabetes" you get many pages of results. i cannot get past the first results page. Equally none of the other JavaScript buttons work. I checked with chrome and iexplorer OK. Also i reformatted !!! my pc and tired it before adding any software or antivirus/internet security. I also tried with my laptop and tablet same situation. This is a website used by millions of researchers around the world i am curious as to why this is happening.

There is a lot of discussion on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=812695 about the right workaround or how to apply it. I'm starting this forum thread to move the discussion.

From the bug the current workarounds are:

• in about:config set gfx.direct2d.disabled to true
• in about:config set gfx.content.azure.backends to cairo instead of direct2D
• Uninstall IE10 and update KB2670838
