I HAVE A NEW IDEA FOR FIREFOX CAN MAKE IT THE MOST DIFFERENT BRWOSER IN THE WORLD AND CREATE A NEW MOVEMENT IN ALL BRWOSERS HISTORY.ITS A BOUT SECURITY.DO YOU WANNA KNOW IT?

So this problem came up a day or two ago and my computer isn't the only one affected by this.

Embedded youtube videos show up as just a black box. I can still watch videos on youtube itself though.

I can watch embedded twitch.tv streams however I can not watch them on twitch.tv itself.

On some forums I visit if someone has a spoiler tag and I click to open it it just forces me to the top of the page and does nothing to open the spoiler.

On Target.com none of the products show up and if I try to narrow results (that don't exist) on the left side nothing happens you just get forced to the top of the page like the spoiler tag issue.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling java, firefox, quicktime, and flash. I've tried running firefox in safe mode. I've tried just disabling adblock and noscript. I've tried leaving adblock and noscript on but allowing all scripts and popups. I've made sure all my plugins are up to date. I've cleared my cookies and cache. I'm sure I've tried some other stuff I can't even remember at this point. Again this isn't only an issue on my computer, it's also an issue on 2 laptops, one running FF 20.0, my desktop and the other are running FF 20.0.1.

(I've taken screenshots of all the issues in question along with the updated plug ins but I'm not seeing where to add them.)

I have no idea what could have happened to my admin password on my new Windows 8,( Gateway NV ) but this is not good! I have MONTHS of research on it that I can't access, & don't know how it could have changed, I'm the only one who had it. I don't even know if that button was touched, I'm just looking at all the possible things that might have affected a password setting, It happened when I had several windows open, mostly to different legal sites, like ILCS & heritage.org, sites I would not think would be compromised. I have Norton installed. Also Malwarebites, both have been effective & will work together. I was starting to set up the Voice program, & was programming the microphone. That's the last thing I was doing. The speakers squelched, then a reverb was echoing ..that still is, & it picks up every tiny sound to echo.my dogs are losing their mind, it's a little freaky for me too. But the more I tried to figure out how to stop it, the more I didn'y know what I was doing, of course. The next thing that happened was every time I click to access ANYTHING, the Admin Password screen pops up, but the password I have on all three of my computers no longer works on that one, & that's the one where all the picutes are I NEED for my research. They are originl & cannot be replaced, I don't even have that camera or anything now. So they aren't saved anywhere else. I DID network the PCs together, so I can access the photos from all of them, for different portions of the work the computer is designated for. But I can't access them on those other PCs either, without Admin PW....What the heck happened??

Keep getting pop-ups on my computer. Contacted one of the companies the pop-up talks about. They have confirmed its not them and told me it sounds like I have spyware in my computer. They have advised me to download "adaware" or "spybot" search and destroy program, to scan my computer with. I would like to know if Firefox has something I can download ...thank you very much

The Restore Previous Session DOES NOT work. Every single time I close out a window with multiple tabs on it, whenever I restore Firefox, all it does is bring up the home page again!

I have my settings set to "Show my windows and tabs from last time" in the start up on the Options.

I have the "Firefox will: Use Custom settings for history" with the "Clear history when Firefox closes" box UNCHECKED.

I am NOT using Private Browsing.

I HAVE deleted the sessionstore.bak and sessionstore.js files from the Profile folder. SEVERAL times.

I even have the browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash in the about:config file set to TRUE, though I haven't yet attempted to trigger a manual shutdown through Task Manager to see if this will still happen.

Thing is, I shouldn't have to! I want to know what the problem could be, and how it can be fixed! I'm getting more than a little irritated with having to manually pull up each and every single one of my tabs that were closed, even though the browser should ALREADY and automatically do that FOR me!

I am currently using Firefox version 20.0.1, and it says I'm currently using the most up-to-date browser.

Please help. I can't think of anything else that might be the problem with this.

Using Firefox version 19.0.2 on MAC. Appears message: "Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party. Are you sure you want to continue sending this information?" In preferences there is no option to choose what warning messages display or not display. Through about:config tried to change security.warn is set to 'false' by default; security.warn_viewing_mixed - too set by default to 'false'.

My Firefox homepage is set to google and everytime I start Firefox it goes directly to google. No problem here. The problem that I have is that under the history tab there is a restore previous session button that is annoying me. The privacy setting is set to "Use custom settings for history". The only thing that are checked are the "Accept cookies from sites" and "Accept third-party cookies" checkboxes. Solution that starts with "Are you using Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time" ? " Please don't. I also want to disable the recently closed windows button under that darn history tab. I just can't figure it out why Firefox doesn't seem to care about people's privacy. I'm using Firefox 6. I know I have to update it but that's not the point here

OK guys, I found this saying my Firefox could be a piece of junk and that big brother has his noise up my butt again. I was looking at the article at was publish on CP Pro and from what I seeing I have a bad copy. How do I remove it and get a good copy of Firefox to replace it.

I going by the file size shown which is 724 kb, which is the size mine is showing.

How do I get a good copy of Firefox and how do I make sure I keep getting the right update for you, so they don't trick me again.

when i open firefox an advertising box for value apps appearrs&will not go away by using the usual methods .you can get ridd of it by going to the privacey bar &cancelling the add but every time i come back it reappearss.i just cannot unsubbscribe or canncell.please help . my security cant get ridd of it .it is driving me nuts.

I'm wondering what the following about:config entries are for

- datareporting.sessions.current.activeTicks (counting up in single increments every few seconds)

- datareporting.sessions.current.totalTime (jumping up in the thousands every few seconds)

- datareporting.sessions.previous.NNN (40 entries where NNN is currently numbered from 158 to 198)

I'm concerned that data is being stored, updated and/or sent to a third party without my consent or knowledge. It also may be worth mentioning that Telemetry and Crash Reporter are both disabled in my Advanced Options.

I've seen that a similar post was marked 'solved' but as there is no workaround, surely it should be left open.

I've been using Firefox since 2005 - almost always on Windows - though have used it on Linux. I recently got an Android tablet and was shocked at how (let's say) different, the browser is on the platform.

Tabs have been taken from the top of the screen and moved to the left. No easy dropdowns for favorite sites and worst of all, there is some ridiculous 'Top Sites' feature. I really dont see the need for such a feature as my 'top sites' would be in my favourites..

If top sites is anything like the desktop version (which thankfully was easy to get rid of) then it could potentially show a screen with my banking details (balance etc) to anyone that uses firefox on a shared tablet.

A ridiculous security oversight.. Why can we not set a homepage to a website or whatever we want? I would also like to see some further customisation options for tablets. We have a lot of screen real-estate, you know..

I see that the top sites thing is being looked at but can you please leave at least one post open to post updates.. I will be installing Firefox again but will have to use something else in the meantime - at least until I can get user profiles on my Galaxy 10.1 in 4.2.

I'm using Firefox 20.0.1 on a windows 8 64bit laptop. The Reply button in outlook wasn't working for me so I reset firefox by going to Help>Troubleshooting Information>Reset Firefox That completed then I set up my preferences and logged into my sync account but now it will not sync my plugins or anything. I have it set up to do so and it only says I'm using 2.6mb of quota. I was using more than that though before I reset firefox. I have it set to merge my data, and I have it set to sync everything, but that's the thing.. my sync data is missing stuff. I think an error happened or something. Because I should have my plugins and everything back, but they aren't there. I've also tried closing firefox and reopening it and still no plugins. Also I was using more quota but it seems a lot of information from my sync account is missing. How do I get them to revert my sync information to an earlier time? Because currently it is not syncing my plugins, it thinks that I never had any installed.. I used to be able to go to Tools>add-ons>Extensions and there used to be stuff there but ever since I reset firefox that stuff is not coming back.. even though I have logged into my sync account, told it to merge everything, gave it plenty of time to do so, restarted firefox, etc. So I think my sync data didn't transfer correctly or is messed up and I need them to revert it on their end.

So I need to have someone for firefox revert my sync data to an earlier time before things were messed up...

I was looking at a first tab on ultimateguitar.com (on Firefox mobile on my nexus 4) when I saw the gray message box appear briefly at the bottom of my screen, telling me "installation complete". I'm wondering what was installed? the site apparently has an app but I didn't accept any installation and no new apps appear to be on my phone. I've also check Firefox for new add ons - none. Could this have just been a background installation of an update to an app I already have?

I turned on my notebook this morning to find Private Browsing on and Firefox reset to the default appearance. I can't find out how to turn this browsing feature off! Read the articles, looked at Community forum ... nada. Please help! I want my own Firefox back!

I just purchased a new EV certificate from Entrust and installed in on my website. Now with IE and Chrome I get the nice green bar, but FF shows a blue bar and says "which is run by unknown".
