why is my IP address blacklisted?

I tried to click on links important to my online business but I was denied access and was told to check with my providers/host. I often get 'server not found' too.

Using Firefox 20.x , configured to always be in private browsing mode. For some reason, after a while of browsing, when I open a new empty tab, there is content saved on the dashboard of recently visited sites. This seems almost exclusively to happen only with images from i.imgur.com . These sites do not go away after closing and reopening the browser. The only way to get rid of these is to clear all my recent history. I should not have to do this, as my browser is always in privacy mode.

I am really not sure how to test this. If I clear my history, and go to imgur links, it does not happen right away. After a few days of web surfing, I will open a new blank tab and see there is content available in the new tab window. All those spaces should be empty.

Any ideas on how I can hone in on what is going on here?

Is there any way to get FF to use the Windows Cert Store or to directly import certs inside the store using the certutil?

Also, why on earth does Firefox do this? This makes Firefox a huge pain to use in corporate environments and without an easy fix I may be forced to make it an unsupported browser in my environment.

I have set to clear my browsing history when I exit firefox. And firefox does it but not completely! When I re-open firefox, my History panel is clear; BUT when I start to type an URL which I visited in the past (and its not in my bookmarks) firefox shows me the complete URL before I type it completely. It means history URLs are still saved somewhere! I have disabled all my firefox extentions and still had this problem.

I have experienced this problem in last two versions of firefox (20 and 21)

The option or "remember password for sites" is not key sensitive. How can I make Mozilla to ask me again if I like to save the password for the site ?

impossible to connect to my account. I don't receive the reset password email too, whatever the number of tries (attempting for about 1H, nothing in spams or particular filters). but curiously, the notification email from this support platform is received.

I use outlook and I suspect MS of rejecting some domains (ie: I won't receive emails from MEGA), and now it seems like MS is blocking emails from addons.mozilla.org.

I can't believe that... is there a server maintenance ? Is the account hacked or something ?

I use the password remember thing a lot and have a lot of passwords saved in Firefox. But those passwords can be seen by just clicking a button, not very secure... To solve this I enabled the master password, it solved the problem but now I have to enter the master password every time Firefox starts.

Is there a way to enable the master password only at the 'show passwords' button but not at startup or anywhere else?

When I try to login to my Wordpress admin, Firefox limits me to 18 characters in the password box.

My password is 24 characters long. The Firefox I have on my computer at home allows me to enter all 24 characters but not at work. IE doesn't limit me.

i'm using Tor Browser. It updates quite regularly. i decide to learn how to export/import settings. i read TOS on Sync and CANNOT believe what i read. You can send my data OUT OF COUNTRY??? Please explain why i even started using Tor if not for privacy/security. The whole concept of the Sync operation appears to be a grand design to have my personal information on a platter??? Why do i need to have my data off my computer in order to put it back on there??? On the face of it -this is outrageous.... perhaps i do not understand fully. Please explain how i can EASILY accept Tor Browser updates without my data - in ANY form - being anywhere else...

Unbelievably, I haven't seen this posted on a legitimate forum anywhere, nor can I find answers unless I want to pay for a removal tool from sites that I don't trust. My computer is infected with "Starburn" browser hijacker. No Antivirus tool detects it nor removes it. I've tried Malware Bytes, Ad Aware, and AVG antivirus. I cannot find anything in add-ons or extensions indicating that it's there at all but my computer is 50% slower and my CPU usage is outrageously high even with only one tab open. I've allowed upload of my add-on information below.

I've checked Task Manager and, admittedly, normally have many windows open. There are numerous processes running but when I search the web for what they are, they all seem to be legitimate. I've also used Rootkit Revealer looking for a couple of registry files I've seen commonly posted that people "SAY" are associated with Starburn, but they don't appear in my registry that I can see. There is nothing to uninstall in Control Panel "Add and Remove". There are no visible add-ons or extensions relating to this browser hijacker.

If anyone has ANY help or suggestions please post them. This hijacker affects ALL browsers. So if I switch to IE or Chrome, it's the same thing, which tells me it's not a Firefox problem but possible something deeply imbedded in the system. So resetting Firefox to its defaults (which I have not done) would almost certainly not resolve the problem. Thanks for your time.

Hi,

I'm securely connected to my (self-hosted) webmail. https://webmail.whatever.com I've tried to access the SpamAssassin Configuration option within it but I get the following.

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to mailboxes.whatever.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure. mailboxes.whatever.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names:

 *.dreamhost.com , dreamhost.com

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

I understand why I'm getting the message, but how do I add an exception when the option to do so is not showing as it usually does? I can try and use the non-secure URL for my webmail, but I'd rather not and I might get the same results anyway.

The following does a (very) good job of explaining things, but solutions are not provided for all of the issues/messages. Perhaps that can be changed when we figure this out. http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/secure-connection-failed-error-message

I have used Firefox for about 7 years. No issues... I recently installed Ghostery add on.

The only way to describe it is: I go to a page.. Click a link (or close to it) or enter or any other button/link that would take me to what I expect..

BUT instead it opens a new tab to an advertisement site (quibids, P&G, many other random ads) - a few of them I blacklisted with BLOCKSITE (installed after the problem started happening) but several I can't because I would actually use them when I need to (ex: Vistaprint.com)

When I go back to the original site and click the same link and click it again it works as intended. This happens across all sites that I am on... It is like there is a hidden link within the one I am clicking on. I have pop ups blocked in my browser but this gets around it somehow.

Since GHOSTERY installed, some sites do not work correctly. If I click on a picture, or something that I want to expand it is as if I am doing nothing at all because it won't complete the action, the functionality is broken.

I have white listed a couple sites but this is random and if I whitelist everything I come across then it opens me back to what I am trying to avoid..

EXAMPLES:

went on Heat.com, clicked the button to go to the White Hot Gear instead it opened a new tab brandonline.com

was on LinkedIn and hit the comment button on a thread, then it opened a new tab vistaprint.com

was on publix.com, hit the order refills button, then it opened a new tab premium-promos.net

did a google search clicked on the link I wanted, it opened a new tab premiumgiftrewards.net

EACH time I go back to the original site and click the same button/link/etc it takes me where expected.

Thanks in advance for your help!
